WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe all people inherently moved toward growth.
We believe that through self-understanding and compassionate connection incredible change and acceptance is possible.
We believe emotions are important; they give us information about ourselves, our relationships, and our values.
We believe that our minds, bodies, and spirits are connected and that through attending to all parts of ourselves we are nurtured.
WHY WE DO THIS WORK
We have each found our way to this work through our own life experiences, our own struggles, our own healing. We believe in the power of human connection. We show up for our clients each day, not to give answers, but to bear witness, to hold space and to walk alongside.
HOW WE STAND
At Kristen Genzano Therapy, we want our fellow community members who identify as Black, Brown, Native American, Indigenous American, Asian American, Latinx, LGBTQ, people with disabilities and members of the many historically marginalized communities to know: We see you. We value you. Your experience matters. We are in solidarity with you.
As mental health care providers, we take seriously our responsibility to provide services that honor your whole self, including your racial, social, cultural, and physical experiences.
To that responsibility, we are committed to educating ourselves about and engaging in a range of racially, culturally, and socially diverse experiences. Our commitment is aimed at cultivating the safe and accepting space you deserve.
As humans, we inevitably will falter. We welcome your feedback and invite you to call us out/in as we continue on our own paths of self-knowledge and knowledge of other’s experiences beyond our own to dismantle internalized white supremacy.
We invite our community members to join in education about Anti-Racism actions.
